From A to D: Prevent Stretch Marks Post Surgery

“The only thing holding me back from getting a breast augmentation is stretch marks…” – Me

According to the Mayo Clinic, stretch marks are defined as indented, reddened streaks that usually appear on the skin from rapid weight gain or from weight changes.

By the time you’ve read this post, you may already know that I had the procedure done in early March. Yes, I recorded it. Yes ask me any burning questions you have but the burning question within myself was how would I prevent stretch marks? I already have them on my butt or-the lack of… just keeping it real.

When I finally booked my surgery date I only had a few days to get it together and figure out how my body was transforming from size A to D in a matter of hours without zebra stripes. Yes, my sister nicknamed my stretch marks, no shame here.

Your skin is the largest organ of your body. Although some places are more sensitive than others, you should still treat it as if it’s your face. So that’s when the idea hit. What if I just extend my regimen to my breast area? Clearly doing the entire regimen is excessive & over dramatic but I was still looking to use a few of my favorite products. With no harm to anyone but myself, I experimented with products. I knew if I did nothing, they would appear so I might as well do something to say I tried. It’s a mental thing. Let me preface, this is not a regimen to get rid of existing stretch marks but this will help prevent if decide to have some sort of operation. I would even suggest it for expecting mothers but of course always check with your doctor first.

Now lets get to the good part. This regimen is so simple and soothing.

Hyaluronic Acid creme + Body Oil

That’s it! That all you need.

Now I did lots of research to make sure this was safe and its completely safe. Published by WebMD, “hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body so its not foreign.” Naturally found in the body, hyaluronic acid secures moisture and creates full youthful skin. Hyaluronic acid plays a critical role in skin health with its unique ability to hold in moisture (1000 ml of water per gram of hyaluronic acid).

So once you add that moisture layer your favorite body oil. You’re done. Watch the magic unfold.
